Don, the Donkey Tail

Don Quixote is one of Spiny's Friends that is just always hanging around! 'Donkey Tail' is a succulent called Sedum morganianum cv. 'Burrito'. The 'Burrito' part of the name means 'little burro' in Spanish.

Different from the animal's tail, 'Donkey Tail' just keeps growing longer and longer - that's why he's grown as a hanging plant. Long stems are covered with light green 'beans' from top to tip. Spiny can't believe that those beans fall off and start new plants, but they do!

Grow Sedum Burrito in a well draining soil in filtered sun to bright light. Water thoroughly once a week or when soil is dry to the touch. Protect your 'Donkey Tail' from frost.
